Learning
According to an article about Learning Chapter 7 explains, by definition, "Learning is the process by which life experiences cause a change in the behavior or thinking of an organism, and adjust accordingly as specific consequences happen to you, especially those that result from your own actions."
As humans, we are able to adjust and adapt to many circumstances that come to surface. You do not only learn in the classroom from lectures day after day, you learn from your everyday activities without even realizing it. There are many different examples of learning. For example, based on research some learning intentions to help build focus on knowledge, skills, and understanding. Learning intentions that focus on education or expertise are specific to the knowledge about a particular topic, or how something is done and the steps involved, why something might happen, or it might involve what causes something to happen. Some of the learning intentions that focus on skills, require to understand the ability to write or the ability to problem solve using more than one strategy, also they focus on being able to work as part of a team. However, the intentions are not all that different but implicate the understanding of analysis, and interpretation of events. For example, comprehend the causes of a historical fact, effects of diet on health, and how persuasive language puts the reader in a position to agree with the author based on how he words his articles. These examples duplicate the objective in how learning comes in many different ways. Everybody learns in their own fashion, but knowledge has never been something new to humans. Education is based on the nurture side of the nature vs. nurture debate. How? You ask. Well, a child's mentality is a significant factor in how he/she will pursue learning. For example, people flourish differently depending on their experiences and opportunities that are given to them by their nurtured foundation as a child.
Personal learning stood out to me because how you personally learn is based on how your personalized learning environment is portrayed. A personalized learning environment, according to (study.com) is mainly a combination of tools, people, and services that make up your individual resources and overall approach to learning. My personalized learning environment involves many people who push me to succeed in school. I try to seclude myself with headphones and dive into my work with minimal distractions. People who understand these techniques and add to this success is what drives me to succeed in not only my studies
but what my goals are as well.
