Personality-Content Reflection

Every person has their own ways of behaving according to specific situations based on their personality. We are each different in our own unique ways, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I say this because it creates a very diverse process in our own behavior in triggered towards other people in a matter of self-reflecting. Understanding your own strengths and weaknesses gives you a broader knowledge of how you behave towards certain circumstances that other people would not have recognized.

I recently took a personality trait quiz given by the Big Five (similarminds.com) that led me to believe that what I thought I was strong in, indeed it was my weak trait. For example, my results were very high in the accommodation section with a score in the 74th percentile. Which means I am overly kind-natured, trusting, and helpful (too often) at the expense of my own individual development. Also, another section I am firm in is orderliness with a score in the 64th percentile. Meaning, at times I am OVERLY organized! I know right... me? HAHA but that's what it says! Anyway, it also means that I enjoy being neat and structured at the expense of being flexible and spontaneous... But I am fun! The rest of my scores boiled down to Inquisitiveness: 50th percentile, Extroversion: 42nd percentile, and lastly Emotional Stability: 38th percentile. Inquisitiveness reflects how curious and imaginative I am with intelligence, which was a big eye-opener for me! I have never really been much of an extrovert, but I am when I need to be which is mainly why I scored low in that field because it reflects that I am very reclusive, quiet, and private. I am not very good when it comes to emotions. I honestly try to keep emotions out of logical thinking because it clouds my judgment and I usually am not good at that so understanding how to have a natural balance is always a right way of thinking. Mainly, if you know, you are weak in some areas more than other people may be.

This quiz helped me realize that my personality is not a bad thing. My character does not define who I am as a person but instead helps me build into a person I want to be. The ability to self-reflect is a trait not many people understand or know how to do. Understanding your own bodies limitations gives you the opportunity to fix and grow for the future.

My results!
