About me

   Hello, my fellow friends! My name is Carolynn Thompson; I am a sophomore here are Hardin-Simmons University. I am currently in the process of studying Biology with a Public Health minor, in hopes of becoming a Physician’s Assistant. My hometown is Schertz, Texas which is 30 minutes north of San Antonio. Coming from a small town inside of a larger town gave me the advantage of living a big city life but, being able to disregard the disadvantages of actually living in the city. It was a very great spot for me because I had easy access to the hustle of the big city but the ability to have a moment of solitude when I leave to head home. 

   However, my school district was larger than most and had a very diverse childhood, meeting new people and learning from other cultures was difficult but I managed to break out of my comfort zone to make it possible. I was also very active in high school in extracurricular activities, such as key club, history club, and the varsity volleyball team. I am the youngest of three siblings. I do not currently own any pets but, I occasionally steal my sister's dog every now and then. In my leisure time, I enjoy going on many hikes, camping and fishing trips with family and friends. One person that I aspire to be like is my mother. She is currently an assistant professor at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. God and my family are incredibly important to me and I spend most of my time in family gatherings and engaging in many family laughs. I do not really like to compare myself to anything because it tends to bring negativity to your constructive thought in everyday life but, if I were to compare myself to anything it would be to a sunflower. To me, sunflowers bring light and joy to nature and in my everyday surrounding. Also, flowers are remarkable in growing from a small seed and with just a little bit of sunlight, water, and delicate care turns into a beautiful sight of the eye. Well, that's about it!
